His website is sometimes slow with updates... Roger made it clear on more than one occasion that he was going to play Shanghai and Basel after the Laver Cup. (see previous posts here).

Unless we hear otherwise from the Master himself, I wouldn't worry about it.

No, Roger never mentioned that he would play the Tokyo tournament. He went to Tokyo last year as well, on his way to Shanghai, to do some sponsor activity and promote tennis in Asia.
