Too bad lost the doubles, although I am not surprised with Mirnyi on the other side of the net!
They are down 1-2 now... It's going to be tough for them to win the tie, although Laaksonen should really win his match on Sunday and maybe Marco can do miracle again!
HI Cromar, the two Boys played the first time DC and playes well . so sorry for both three times tiebreak 6-7 6-7 6-7
hope today both can win good luck Switzerland

Set 1 in the bag after a bit of a struggle.
Well done to Vasek and Nestor to get the doubles win.

Ramanthan yelling a lot and sometimes after he has served. But, he's putting up a good fight.

Denis does have that priceless asset of being able to come up with the goods when necessary as he proved in Montreal and just now came up with 2 fine serves at 2-2 30-30 in Set 2 in Edmonton.

Great poise shown by Denis coming back from 0-40 to force the tiebreak - which he then proceeded to win in good style!! First 2 sets Canada.

Re: Davis Cup 2017
One of the things that really strikes me about Denis is his ability to find the lines. I think it was Agassi who said that he aimed for the lines because the lines were put there to be hit (I am paraphrasing). But, over this year that I have been watching this young kid and he really hits the lines and the opponents are often left wondering whether they should challenge or they are shaking their heads in disbelief or frustration.

Yes and like Roger he backs himself - I remember one huge inside-out forehand that he hit at 30-40 on his serve at a really crucial point - he's a terrifically entertaining player to watch. I love him.

Re: Davis Cup 2017
Denis in his on-court interview thanks Team Canada for letting him be part of it! His two winning rubbers were fundamental to Canada's win. Marty Laurendeau seems like a very decent bloke indeed.
