Agree about the court, it was so slow...
But the choice for the surface must have been difficult, as you have to please all the players and their different styles of tennis.

This Laver Cup was absolutely fantastic! Such a win-win for Roger. So much competitive spirit, camaraderie, and passion. This was not an exho at all. A lack of rankings points does not make it an exho - you don't get rankings points for the Olympics nor Davis Cup now either.
Just such a brilliant weekend of tennis. I enjoyed every match (and I saw most of them). Now, I'll always want Rafa to lose in regular events but I did cheer for him here. And I loved seeing Roger and Rafa play doubles together. It was so funny to see Rafa live/dying with every point in the Roger/Kyrgios match. I'm glad they showed both benches a lot because it really added to the drama and excitement.
I'm definitely going to make plans to be in Chicago next year.

It's funny because I saw a video clip with some of the organizers talking about the black court and they said the speed would be medium-fast. Don't think it ended up that way.

In the last minute they changed their mind : "it's gonna be medium-slow".

I also felt a bit bad for Berdych. He was the only player on Team Europe who didn't win a match (1 single and 2 doubles), and he was playing in front of his home crowd.

LOL - I was reading this one article about the Laver Cup in contrast to the DC, and had to laugh at this paragraph:
First of all, having stellar names sells. Tennis's 'Big Four' have largely skipped the Davis Cup over the last decade, with matches involving two of Nadal, Federer, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray becoming as rare as a moment of Maria Sharapova humility.

The benches were just as involved and passionate as the players in that last match.
Or maybe not so surprising, as the was on the line!...

After a weekend of passionate, emotional, high-octane competition, it all came down to this. #LaverCup @RogerFederer @NickKyrgios pic.twitter.com/EXnk9Ssg2v

FEDBERG, just one word. I don't agree with your comment about Borg. For two reasons: not only this is Borg way, and has always been, he is not a person who stands up and scream and makes gestures... but also: what can he tell Roger? He spoke a bit with RN and the others of Team Europe, he called Enqvist to help him sometimes. But watch him at the commemoration, he was excellent.
As the 2 benches: Team World "played" all the olympic sports at every commemoration of points or sets. Team Europe was the most calm supporters on Earth (only at the last match they were physically involved).
Seems to me like this.
But all in all, what a wonderful week-end. I am already missing those days.

US Open humour!...
In addition to the #LaverCup, @rogerfederer also wins a @RafaelNadal-sized trophy.https://t.co/Cm7hwdJXeG #USOpen ( @LaverCup) pic.twitter.com/Cg6WcoJrer

LOOOL - Maybe he should have bitten it..... 8)
Thanks everybody for the infos, pictures, statements, videos....
It seems to have been a success, I hope that the youngsters can take a lot out of it and have learned a lot.
For once there was a happy tennis family out there. Roger, you rock!!

Hang on. There's more than one style of tennis? Must check the figures. I suppose we could call it two styles: 2% #allcourttennis (Roger) and 98% baseline (everyone else).
