Oh my God Thanks for all those beautiful pictures, especially the selfie that is tennis history now, I am happy for Serena for getting her selfie, it came out beautiful. This double match today was super special. Our amazing Roger is always spreading joy and happiness wherever he goes, and thankfully we are getting more of it. I love the Hopman Cup.

Lovely. I like this playful competition. Although everyone wants to win, it does not have the tension of many other matches. It is good for spectators and players alike to enjoy this game so freely. The doubles are so fast moving in this format though, that it seems to go by at times wihtout one registering right away what just went down.

After Williams insisted that they hold rackets during an on-court selfie, she and Federer walked back to their seats with their arms wrapped around each other, and Federer said his racket was hers to keep.

As she carried it into the players’ area of Perth Arena alongside Tiafoe, Williams stared at the racket with visible wonderment, showing it to her partner and letting him hold it briefly.

“I was so excited,” Williams told reporters. “Literally, it was the match of my career. I don’t know, just playing someone so great, and someone that you admire so much — and a match that actually means something. It’s not often that that happens.”

Great Britain had a great win today, as they defeated Team USA. Despite Serena winning all her singles matches, USA have lost all three ties. GB is now 2-1 on the Round-Robin results.

If

wins the tie tonight, they will be the clear winner of Group B (3-0) and in the Final. If not, they would be tied at 2-1 with GB and Greece, but would just need to win one match to win the Group, based on number of matches won.
