It's all over... Team Europe won the doubles! A pretty short day!

Too bad some of those close matches didn't go Team World's way. The score is a bit cruel I think and doesn't quite capture the actual competitive play.

Finally I could access The Tennis Channel. I am so sorry for Team World. 1 point only. But so good to see Roger all the time.

Borg to Roger: "I hope you come back soon and play tennis."
John McEnroe: "The fact that Roger Federer came... absolutely amazing, unbelievable! Roger, total class act."

Poor Team World - Apparently Jack Sock could not play- ?injury. Kyrgios has not played well for some time and Denis had a very bad tournament. Hard to say what is going on with Denis. When I saw him play the Wimbledon semi vs Djokovic I thought he had turned a corner but his performance has not been great since then. I hope he gets it together. I enjoy his game a lot. Of course, FAA looks like he's getting it together now.

No, Jack Sock was there as an alternate, meaning he would/could only play if someone from the team got injured or had to withdraw for some reason.

^^^
Shapo won his first doubles match, but the incredible bulk (sorry he is a nice guy) Opelka, When he serves he doesn't get in the point, he leaves Shapo hustling left, to right to back and he is at the baseline watching. It is better when Shapo is serving and he is situated at the net. He also hit a lot of first serves in the net as if the net is too high for him. Poor decision by JMac to put him on today, He is not as an established player as the rest and can't move well he is a giant of a man. Isner would have done better.

I wish he had played today, he would have won and make the scores look better.

They are playing an 'exhibition' doubles right now, and Team World won the first set! (they should have played the other match! ). Some great tennis on show, 'little' Diego and Felix are having a lot of fun on the court, and Medvedev and Ruud are doing well too.
Meanwhile, Tsitsipas is doing court-side reporting!
