Hi. I am maybe the only one watching? DC qf, France x Great Britain. France won the 2 singles (I did not watch). I am watching the doubles, first set to France, in a very tight tie-break.

You aren't the only ones but the Davis Cup is in Other ATP/WTA Tourneys, according to Cromars description Very Happy

"Discussions about any ATP/WTA Tournaments in which Roger is not playing, including the Davis Cup."

Taking a shot at me about the Davis Cup not being an ATP tournament, he!...
By the way, neither are the GS, yet nobody questioned that?  Razz

The Grand Slam®️ tournaments - Australian Open, Roland Garros, Wimbledon and US Open - are the most prestigious individual competitions in tennis. The ITF works closely with each tournament through its presence on the Grand Slam Committee, providing administrative, officiating and media support.

So, in short, the definition of 'ATP tournaments' here encompass all tournaments included in the ATP schedule and players profile.
Pretty simple, no?   Wink Gif

I hope others got a chance to follow the Hall Of Fame Induction ceremony live, which concluded just moments ago. Highlights for me, hearing from Monique Kalkman van den Bosch, Kim Clijsters and Roddick. Monique's story is such an inspiration. Andy referencing his first encounter with Fed (1995 Junior Internationals) was great. His entire speech was ACE, IMO. Congrats to the entire class of 2017. Well earned and fully deserved.

Hopefully, Marcia: TTC will see their way to upload it for YT soon.

In the meantime, I find myself watching an interview which aired over the weekend in Australian TV.  It features a one-on-one w/Bernie Tomic.

There is a new exho tournament being run ahead of the USO in Stowe Vermont.  They are hoping to make it a yearly event, to give players relaxed practise matches in much the same way as the Boodles ahead of Wimbledon and Kooyong Classic ahead of the AO.

Here is an article explaining the concept
http://www.tennis.com/pro-game/2017/08/stowe-mountain-tennis-classic-exhibition-2017-us-open-donaldson-haas/68660/

Here is an account of the first day of play
http://www.mynbc5.com/article/stowe-serves-up-day-1-of-pro-tennis-tournament/12054051

It will be interesting to see if they can make a go of it in the future.  I doubt that it will ever attract the big name players who want to practise on the stadium courts and have sponsor obligations in NYC anyways.  But for some lesser known players, a nice relaxing place to tune up your game away from the hustle and bustle.  The three day tournament finishes tomorrow.

Roger Federer will play in Mexico for the first time in his professional career since he will have an exhibition match on November 23 at the Plaza de Toros México.

Eduardo Varela, white sports specialist on ESPN, said the match is confirmed with rival to be defined.

It appears that Roger might make it into a Latin American "tour"

That is good news, Rufus! People in Mexico will be pleased, I am sure, and it is a change for Roger, too.
I am glad that they will have a chance to see him play live!!
