Re: Laver Cup 2017, Prague - Sep 22-24, 2017
We got everything we wished for, Roger, outstanding 3 days of tennis that made up for that terrible USO, comradery, a fantastic mix of players, and Roger ending up being the hero and winning it for his team with two thrilling tie breaks. The only disappointed one that was left crying was Nick, he played amazing tennis, but the King of beautiful tennis prevailed. It's okay, they'll make it up to him in the party afterwards and will leave him smiling.
Look what Roger has gifted the tennis world, what a fun 3 days, but honestly my head was spinning at the end of 2nd day. But I got up early and continued watching. What a great celebration. But what is Rafa doing jumping in Roger's arms, is he trying to break his back You must use a little self control there Mr. Nadal. But he showed that he was really really happy, he enjoyed the event. That's nice but I still do not love him ...

What a thriller and nail biter was this last match. I didn't think Roger was going to pull it off, after his two double faults!, but like the genius he is, at the end, he did get the points needed for the win! A fabulous end to a great event!
Although one couldn't help but feel for Kyrgios, he played a great match and got oh! so close to pulling the upset. Team World has been very competitive and fun to watch, on the court... and on the bench!
And, as Sameena said earlier, how befitting that Roger was the one who sealed the deal. I am so happy for him, as he has put his whole into this event. A dream end for him and the whole Team Europe! There was a lot of this at the end!

I've had a very busy few days; was happy to find that Sky Sports were broadcasting the Laver Cup live. I've been recording and watching some of the matches. Of course I watched Roger's win vs. Querrey. Haven't (yet) watched his doubles match, though I have recorded it. (I'm in agreement with those who would have preferred him to have had a different doubles partner.) I haven't kept up with all of the scores / points / schedules, but unfortuntely I missed today's matches as I couldn't find any live coverage on the Sky Sports channels and only realized far too late that the channel it WAS being shown on had moved and was in a different area altogether. I am royally annoyed with Sky Sports... they've messed around with their channels and dedicated them to different sports - football, golf, cricket, F1 - and the TV guide on their website is misleading. Oh well, it's a pity I missed everthing today, and I don't suppose there'll be a repeat. But it was wondeRFul watching Roger play and win his Saturday singles match, and I'm happy to read that he won today's singles and in doing so, effectively won the Laver Cup for his team. Sounds great! Allez, cher Maestro!

I feel a LITTLE for Nick but maybe he will take his tennis more seriously. ROGER deserved the win

What a great ending to a fantastic weekend. Glad Roger pulled through to win it; really didn't think he would. Feel sorry for Kyrgios but he has the talent to be a great player if he wants to be. I also loved that Rafa ran out and jumped on to Roger. I have seen a different side of him in this tournament.

The Cup...
And now for the real celebration... Oh, Roger is going to have some fun, I can tell!
Time to celebrate: Federer showers the Laver Cup with Moet champagne.
His cup runneth over: Federer fills the Laver Cup with champagne.

Thanks a lot, cromar. Normally I record the matches, but ESPN decided to cut the match to show some NFL.
Now, I used to have keepvid to download from yt. Now it is not working anymore. Do you know another way to download it? Thanks in advance.

I found time to log on again to read / see the goodies and my thanks to everyone for your comments.
CROMAR - what superb pictures & thanks for the link to the whole match / celebrations.
I love looking back when things have gone Roger's way.
Congratulations to Roger. He looked both delighted and relieved. It comes as no surprise to me that he would be a key part of an event that had both gravitas and appeal. It must have been a huge responsibility to help plan / promote an event such as this, and one can see what its success meant to him.
To witness the great Rod Laver beaming away, and Roger and team Europe with him around the cup is very special. Heartwarming stuff.
As ever, Roger forges the way, and with finesse. The GOAT wizard inspires like no other.
