Re: ATP Finals 2018 Press Conferences
A "quality leap" ? I forget, did he win in two sets, or more? Does not matter. It is good that he won and it is needed so Roger is not the only one against ND and RN. And also for the new generation.
However, I can't help but observe that Roger was not playing his usual level of tennis, or at least he could not go up to the next level as he usually does, but also he had reasons for doing it; How many young injured players keep coming and going out of the tournament? If Roger is not quite up to par for a lingering problem, well, all the top players have had their problems. His unique gifts though, which are so much more than the ball bashers', go way beyond that level.
Toni Nadal should perhaps concentrate on his nephew.
