#UnitedbyRog Dubai Delivery report

Thanks to Suni and Karen, here is the delivery report of the first #UBR in Dubai !

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED: VERY FIRST #UNITEDBYROG DELIVERY
Delighted to report that Suni and I were able to share all your wondeRFul messages with ROG before his first match here in Dubai. A friend was scheduled to deliver Suni’s tickets at about 3 , just about the same itime Suni’s phone ran out of power! While waiting for the friend to show up, we started to chat with a security guard who said ROG might appear very shortly. At about 4pm Suni’s friend finally showed up having been stuck in traffic and moments later, we spotted the silver Mercedes turning into the drive.. WHOA! We raced over as ROG himself parked the car, and he , Seve and Daniel emerged. I excitedly shook his hand and mentioned how great it was to see him. I immediately went on to say that when we lost the Forum, we also lost the RE He commented “Yes I know” and I continued saying that many Fans got together on FB to brainstorm a new idea and we came up with #United by ROG and pointed out the new logo appearing on our bag. Suni then produced her incredible camel gloriously decorated with all sorts of RF paraphernalia including a little globe just like the one in our logo! ROGI’s eyes lit up as he exclaimed: “Am I getting a camel”? Suni quickly responded that “yes, it’s come all the way from the Rajasthan desert”! I hope you like it”? He replied that he loved it!
I had also brought a gift that I was able to offer him so was happy to be able to just hand it to him at the same time. Because he was running late, having also been caught up in traffic, he put our gifts into the boot of his car, and raced off to practice, apologizing to all the others hopeful for either a photo or autograph !
Sometimes you get lucky…… !!!!!

thanks for posting this for us Tani ! It was an amazing day and Sunita and I were honoured and privileged to present the first #UnitedbyROG creation, a gloriously Federised Camel, bearing so many Fan messages of love, encouragement, congratulations and support !

This is simply amazing! I'm speechless! Who came up with the camel idea? You're a genius! Thank you for delivering our messages and sharing the story here! I can almost feel myself being there having a chat with Roger myself!

Yes, it is. The UBR is aimed for members of this forum and the FB group you mentioned. Corinne posted the basic concept in this thread: https://federer.forumotion.com/t66-dubai-re-and-beyond#1536
Of course you are also welcome to become a member of the FB group. However it is a secret group and the only way for you to become a member is if a friend on FB invites you. If you wish, contact me via pm and I might be able to help you out.

Thanks for your kind words everyone! It was an honour delivering the first official replacement of the RE, , the UBR creation to Roger! He simply loved it! Here's hoping to carrying on this priveleged tradition in unison with all his fans.Always a pleasure to have Karen as my partner in crime. .hahahaha. WAY TO GO "UBR"..and way yyyyyy to go ROGERRRR!
