Quite right, Marcia! And I think that we should be very proud that after 20 years as a Pro and 99 titles, Roger is still part of the best matches of the year, win or lose! Surprised

I agree "Cromar", we must count our blessings. After all these years, we still have the luxury of watching him play his dance and dazzle tennis and still are enjoying the happy beginnings of new tournaments, the excitement in anticipation of his next appearance, checking out his outfit, awaiting the interview and agonizing over his draw before the drama of the competition begins. The Living Legend goes on and on giving generously and I feel so privileged and thankful to our evergreen Champion King Roger.

Yes, Marcia and cromar, he is the Gold Standard! Oh, that gentleman, the writer David Foster Wallace, was so right when he said that watching Roger play is like having a religious experience. And remmeber that sign in a Wimbledon Church some years ago--still keeping with the Wallace tone--that stated God Made Roger Federer. Did not that say it perfectly?
As applicable now as it was then.

I haven't read this last talk with Peugeot , but I surely will! Very good to have this chronological and colourful and personally approachable update on Roger's years. Indeed, it has been a wonderful year!
Really, this is the best way to summarize the year, put it in the focus of a fan, and don't make it sound official but like an "indsider's" view, as it suits our feelings, or mine, at least! Thank you! Sunny
