No Wawrinka?
Top players Roger and ND? What kind of conbination is that? I don't know anything about Team World, against whom they will be playing.

Team World, who was announced earlier, in bits and pieces:
Mar 24 - @NickKyrgios: “Being Australian of course it’s an honor to play in an event named after @RodLaver, one of the greatest players of all time."
Jun 28 - Del Potro will join #TeamWorld in their bid to claim the #LaverCup in Chicago in September.
Jul 26 - Welcome to the World: Kevin Anderson, John Isner and Diego Schwartzman join #TeamWorld in September at #LaverCup Chicago 2018.

Update
lol....Can't help but find this trio of wide open mouths funny. Not like a lion roaring at all. ***Cromar, thank you for the information regarding Team World. It will be interesting to see whether the level of play will match that of the inaugural one. It has a very special appeal and it is something different aside from regular tour play and Davis Cup. (I see that the team tennis is not going any further, apparently. It really had no strong emotionally motivating factor, but Laver Cup does, at least to me, and to others, I hope.)

Even though the Laver Cup was quite close last year, on paper Team World was the heavy favorite. This year, the teams (on paper) are more even so should be interesting. I doubt Nadal will play, but that's fine by me.

Thanks! I like the blue more.....the very way they express themselves....... I don't see who would be a good doubles partner for Roger. ND feels wrong to me.
I remember the beauty game Roger and Stan played when the Swiss attained to the Davis Cup It really was a thing of beauty, a high level of well choreographed and executed play. (I am sure Kyrgios is very fired up for a win. I remember his loss to Roger. What a game that was.)
Majestic, yet youthfully fast and powerful and creative Roger! It is wonderful that his parents did not go to Australia for that job offer. I find it interesting that although they consulted the children about the decision, as Roger said, they knew "that the decision was the parents' to make."
I don't know if children today are all so understanding and respectful of their parents, and just all around.

OMG Team world has all the giant hitters, you'll get one in every match, in doubles you'll get two .. Team Europe must double up on wrist bands and ankle braces, also duck at the right time

Do you think it will be who the 2 remaining players are?

No idea. Supposed to be announced during the USO. I highly doubt it will be Nadal for Team Europe.

^^^ Kyle Edmund huh? That's a surprise. I get why the US picked Jack Sock. He may not be doing anything in singles this year, but he's a very good doubles player.

I'm surprised that Europe didn't pick Tsitsipas and the ROW -Denis. They don't have any youngsters.

Agree. Last year Team World had both Shapovalov and Tiafoe. Team Europe had Sasha (Thiem wasn't really a "youngster"). This year Team World doesn't have any "youngsters". And Europe really only has Sasha again. Nothing against Edmund, but it would have been fun to see Tsitsipas (who is actually ranked one place ABOVE Edmund). Maybe Stefanos turned it down?

Addendum to Laver Cup remark
It appears that team World might win this time.***Just saw the post about Team World having tall players after I wrote mine. Steerpike, it was, I think. It can count because Europe does not seem to be as strong this time around.

Re: Laver Cup 2018, Chicago - Sep 21-23, 2018
I think Team World is better than last year. Isner, Sock, and Kyrgios are the same. Schwartzman is solid like Querrey, but no doubt Anderson and Delpo are a step up from Shapovalov and Tiafoe.
As far as Team Europe, Roger and Sascha are the same. Djoker is an equal replacement for Nadal. But I'm not sure Dimitrov, Goffin, and Edmund are on par with Thiem, Cilic, and Berdych.
2017 obviously came down to the last match and could easily be the same in 2018. Doubles played a big part last year and Sock was the star on Team World. He'll be a big help again. Not sure about Team Europe.
