I find myself thinking about that too (the sponsors). But he is an iconic figure and beloved all over the world, I am sure the Swiss brands won't part with him, I don't know about Barilla, and Wilson.
I don't go to FB either. Salute STRIKER.

Juan Martin Del Potro announces his retirement
I was so happy to hear that Del Potro was coming back to play in the Argentina Open.
After three right knee surgeries, Juan Martin del Potro is finally back where he belongs: on the ATP Tour. The last time we saw the former US Open champion compete was nearly three years ago, on grass at the Queen's Club in London.
DelPo has hinted that this week's event in Buenos Aires and next week's in Rio de Janeiro will be his final two times he steps onto a match court. If that's the case, here's to enjoying every moment the Tower of Tandil shares with us.
Juan Martin Del Potro entering the court under huge applause...
But then this happen... Heart breaking!!!
The last serve!...
- Delbonis at the net: "No te vas, no te vas" (You'r not leaving, you'r are not leaving).
Juan Martin del Potro loses 1-6, 3-6 vs. Federico Delbonis.

A familiar warm hug at the net. #ArgentinaOpen

A beautiful and tragic picture... Delpo puts his headband on the net and kisses it goodbye.
Post-match interview (Get the tissues out!): Juan Martin announces that this was his last match, his sister and mother looking on. (This was apparently the first time that his mother attended one of his live matches).
Mom's hug!
"I will remember this moment for all my life. I fulfilled all the dreams I had in tennis and it brought me all the love of the people, which is my best trophy. This is my last match. I’m happy to have played it in front of my people.” Juan Martin Del Potro
He wanted to return to court and he's done that.
The emotion at Del Potro's match was so high, watching the Tower of Tandil hitting those forehands one last time was a treat.
Thank you @delpotrojuan
Tributes are pouring in!...

Off-Court Coaching Trial Announced For Second Half Of 2022 Season
ATP Staff | Jun 21 2022
Trial will begin from the week of 11 July 2022
The ATP has announced that ‘off-court’ coaching will be trialled for the second half of the season. The trial will permit coaching from designated coach seats during qualifying and main draw matches at ATP Tour events, starting from the week of 11 July 2022.
The trial will also take place at the US Open and will run through to the season-ending Nitto ATP Finals in Turin in November.
Various coaching rules have been trialled across the sport in recent years, including on-court coaching and coaching via headsets. Today’s announcement brings alignment for the second half of the season across the ATP Tour, US Open and Hologic WTA Tour, where an off-court coaching trial is already in place.
In addition to ensuring consistency across the sport for the benefit of players and fans, the trial aims to create additional points of intrigue and insight to enhance the fan experience.
Off-court coaching will be permitted under the following conditions:
- Coaches must sit in the tournament’s designated coach seats
- Coaching (verbal and non-verbal) is allowed only if it does not interrupt play or create any hindrance to the opponent
- Verbal coaching is permitted only when the player is at the same end of the court
- Non-verbal coaching (hand signals) is permitted at any time
- Verbal coaching may consist of a few words and/or short phrases (no conversations are permitted)
- Coaches may not speak to their player when the player leaves the court for any reason
- Penalties and fines will still apply for abuse or misuse of the above coaching conditions
The trial will be collectively evaluated at the end of the 2022 season, to assess potential inclusion of off-court coaching in subsequent seasons.
