What a performance, what discipline and keeping calm! Roger has always had this ability, and it was striking here! And the reaction and support from the audience was amazing! To keep that steely "unperturbed" look outwardly, while he must have been all fire inside, and to dare rather than fear...that is such an accomplishment!
Of course, his immense skills help, too! Bravo, congratulations, Roger!

Well done to Roger. I thought he might be a bit tired after carrying Sasha yesterday but he came through.

I wish Nadal would have been able to carry Tsi Tsi today. He is not good at the net. They lost it to Kyrgios/Sock. Well RN played the doubles match right after he won his match against Milos. Now Europe is leading at 7-5. It was a very exciting day anyway. Onward to day 3 and GO EUROPE GO ROGERRRRRR Best of Luck.

IMPORTANT PLAYER CHANGES ... TODAY's PLAY (SUNDAY)
Laver Cup @LaverCup 32 minutes ago
Following consultation with the Laver Cup competition doctor Rafael Nadal has withdrawn from his matches today due to a wrist injury.
Under the #LaverCup rules the referee was notified and #TeamEurope captain Bjorn Borg has substituted Stefanos Tsitsipas in the doubles match with Roger Federer and Dominic Thiem will compete against Nick Kyrgios in the singles match.
#TeamWorld captain John McEnroe was notified immediately of the changes.

Team Europe won the first set 7-5 Go Roger and Tsitsi. Too bad for Team Europe they lost the 2nd and the TB. Score is 8-7 T. Europe.

Where is everyone on this thread. Are they all in Geneva? Or am I on the wrong thread. Exclamation

It was a great contest, the result gives an even greater edge to the rest of the scheduled matches today.  I'm secretly quite glad that it's not all going Team Europe's way as there is a lot of pressure on the singles' players coming soon.  There were some errors on both sides of the net in the doubles, not surprising knowing what rested on the result - for both teams.  GREAT TENNIS!!

After all the controversy by the Macs...Taylor came thru. Maybe its their turn to win. If Roger wins it will be hard for Alex!!!

Yes, it does seem that it might go the "other way". Who knows. I think that Zverev is a better player than Raonic, but he has also been known to falter.
But I am so glad that Roger got Isner! I was sitting on the edge of the couch, crossing everything I could, braiding my eyebrows even! LOL...And Roger, it took real patience for him in the face of Isner's serving. I did think that Roger should win, but you never know, in such cases. Robbie Koenig was going on about Isner's "serving master class", which, even with his height, is very very good, but not all that surprising. But he is like that, Koenig.
Roger....I don't think I have ever seen him celebrate with quite this much sound and jubilation! That roar....the LION really roared, and jumped, and swung his fist into the air! It was wonderful to see!
Then, the comms, the woman and man, gave him his due, and the woman wondered how he could move like that at his 'age', of course. The US Open came up, and how he "looked old" there. His back was not right there, if I am right in remembering.
I feel like a mother....every little lack of knowledge of misapplication of some event and like a tiger I want to spring into action.
I told one of my sons that as much as I care about Roger, I would not have like to have been either a girlfriend, a wife, or a mother to him.....as I could not have stood the suspense!
Bravo, Supreme Roger Federer!

O yesssss! Roger was getting excited in the tiebreak: he saw that Zverev might win! And he did, and did it in style! Bravo, Team Europe--yes, the stronger team, but John Mc likes to go for height--and it is good all around, for Team Europe, for Zverev personally to achieve this, and for Roger, who certainly always does his part and created this possibilitiy!
They went to some other sports event, and I was looking forward to seeing the celebrations. they did the circle dance, didn't they, Roger and friends! Rod Laver looked happy, but he would have looked happy to have the other team win too: he just appreciates the level of play and the atmosphere.
This is special! Can't say it enough: well done, well earned, and well deserved

I have a question: what happened to Roberto Bautista-Agut? He did not interact when he was at the bench, day 2 and this morning. And later he was not at the ceremony. Someone have an idea of what was the problem? Was he angry by not being chosen to play? But he was the alternate, the same as the Chilean player at Team World.
