Re: Davis Cup 2017
Congrats to they all, specially to Marco (2 wins) and our captain Seve! wow!
I watched a bit of Brazil/Japan yesterday, poor Bruno and Marcelo. They won their match, but I think they knew this would be the only point of Brazil. Sad situation.
I also watched, with great pleasure, Jo winning his match against Lajovic (who, btw, played very well the first 2 sets at least). His beautiful wife was also there. And the captain, happy.

Great wins for Switzerland and Canada. And how about Goffin taking out Kyrgios. No del Potro for Argentina. Belgium into the finals. Wonders never cease.

Re: Davis Cup 2017
Some great wins yesterday, and a few surprises! Like Belgium coming through... Goffin is amazing when playing DC, but felt kind of sorry for Hewitt, he looked deflated.
And what a great win for the , coming back from 1-2 down. I feel so happy for Marco, the veteran! What a joy it must have been for him to win both his singles matches, as he has always been there supporting the team in the past, often as a by-stander in the Roger-Stan era.
And well done, Canada, as well!
Switzerland match point... and a lovely embrace between Marco and Seve.

Is it over? It is! Switzerland comeback from 2-1 down on the final and earn their place at the top table in 2018 pic.twitter.com/QEwo6uRPkh

Re: Davis Cup 2017
Pfffffffttttt... I'm disappointed that the Davis Cup final doesn't seem to be on any TV broadcast schedule here. Neither Sky Sports nor British Eurosport are showing it; they've done so for past ties, why abandon the final? And in fact, Sky Sports has got live Abu Dhabi GP practice on two separate channels. The same programme on two channels; surely one of those channels could have shown the DC final? The only broadcast I can see is online via the BBC Sport website, but I prefer watching programmes on my TV for obvious reasons, two of them being that my laptop is obviously smaller than my TV and is liable to cut out when I watch live streaming. I was looking forward to watching and cheering on the players who I like, regardless of which country they are playing for - although actually, my preferred players all happen to be on the French team. Allez Jo, allez Gasquet, allez Pouille! Good luck to my preferred players.

Goffin breaks. I'd be happy if either team won but would be particularly happy for JWT.

Re: Davis Cup 2017
Based on the points I've seen here and there, Goffin is in dazzling mode again. At 2 sets up and 3-0 in the third, the score pretty much speaks for itself. He comes through with some shot-making in the extreme to pull out a point that could have been on La Pouille's racket.

I was just thinking that this match shows that Goffin's win over Roger wasn't a fluke.

I sould guess that Goffin is French, as is Pouille. Any Flemish members?
